Fractional CRO / CMO

I've sold, built and run technology businesses from the inside: as a carrier's enterprise sales lead, a SaaS company's Global Head of Product, and CRO/CMO of an ASX-listed technology company.
For a mid-market SaaS or technology company, a fractional executive usually steps in when growth depends on getting pricing, packaging, channels and revenue operations right, and the founder or CEO can no longer carry all of it. I take one of those seats part-time, own the outcome and build the team that runs it after me.
What I see
The CEO is still the best salesperson, and the pipeline depends on them. What got you here won't get you to the next stage.
Discounting is the default, plans no longer match how customers buy, and nobody is sure what the product is really worth.
Partners and resellers chase the same deals as your own sales team, with no clear rules of engagement or margin model.
A product that sells at home doesn't automatically travel. Pricing, positioning and partners all need to change by market.
Sales, marketing and customer success disagree on the pipeline, the CRM is unreliable and the forecast is a negotiation.
Investors will test the go-to-market story, the revenue quality and the metrics behind it. They need to hold up.

If pricing, channels or the go-to-market model need fixing, start with a CRO who owns the whole revenue engine. If the strategy works and you need more selling capacity, hire a VP of Sales. A fractional CRO is often the step before that hire.
